  • What is Mu?

Mu is the reward brands give you for your attention and actions. Mu is pronounced: me+you.

  • What is a Micron?

Microns are messages with rewards (Mu). Every Micron has a Mu count and new Mu earning potential.

  • What is the Mu triad/trinity/trio?

Every Micron has three elements, i.e. Mu triad which is a set of three numbers — aggregate Mu score, Mu that can be earned by opening the Micron, and Mu that can be earned by in-mail actions in the Micron. For example, 18.1.3 denotes 18 is your current total Mu score, 1 denotes what you earn by opening the Micron, in this case 1 Mu, and 3 denotes the max you can earn from this Micron, in this case 3.

  • How do Microns and Mu work?

The subject line notifies you if the email is a Micron - the μ sign at the start and the triad at the end. On opening such a Micron, the Mu total is updated in real-time in the footer.

  • How do you earn Mu?

Look for emails with µ in the Subject, which we call Microns. You earn Mu by simply giving the brand your attention. Mu can reward many actions including opening an email, clicking to a website or app, providing feedback, filling a survey, watching video, referrals and a lot more.

  • How do you redeem/spend Mu?

You need to first ‘activate’ your Mu account with MyToday after which you can visit our MuShop to redeem your Mu. You can avail instant redemption at our MuShop once you reach a minimum balance of 1000 Mu. Check out the MuShop page to know more.

  • Do my Mu points expire?

Mu points do not expire, but can decay. (Additional details soon.)

  • Who pays for Mu?

The brand sending the mail to you rewards you for the Mu, which are managed via the MyToday platform.

  • Can I opt-out from Mu?

You can opt-out from Mu at any point of time. Your unused Mu will be extinguished.

  • What is an attention economy?

Attention economics is an approach to the management of information that treats human attention as a scarce commodity and applies economic theory to solve various information management problems. According to Matthew Crawford, "Attention is a resource—a person has only so much of it."

  • Why should I be rewarded for my attention?

So far, companies have gathered your attention by creating content or by aggregating content (think Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok). After they have your attention, they have monetised it by selling ads.

The Micron-verse changes that. We recognise that your attention is valuable and brands who seek it, should reward you directly for it.
